Couples for Christ (CFC), a faith-based organization for married couples, celebrated its 30th Anniversary last 26 June 2011 with a grand celebration at the Rizal Park in Manila. An estimated crowd of 80,000 to 100,000 participants joined the whole-day program, marking the culmination of CFC’s week-long celebration.

A CFC golf tournament at the Villamor Airbase Greens kicked off the activities last 21 June 2011. This was followed by a CFC International Mission core gathering at the Christ the King Parish Church in GreenMeadows, Quezon City, in the evening of the same day.

On Wednesday, 22 June, the group held the CFC Global Leaders Summit, the CFC ANCOP Congress, and the ANCOP Song Writing Festival at the AFP Theater. Thurday, 23 June marked the elections of the CFC international council and board of elders.

The program on Friday, 24 June, consisted of the CFC Church Integration Contest and the CFC Cultural Night at the PICC Forum Tent, while the whole day of Saturday, 25 June, was devoted to the Freedom to Love Conference at the ULTRA.

The CFC membership numbers more than half a million couples in 79 provinces nationwide and in 127 countries all over the world. The organization cuts across all social and racial barriers as it caters to all kinds of people with special programs that address both spiritual and secular concerns. CFC has also earned a well-deserved reputation as having a heart for the poor.

Petron, the country’s largest oil company, has expressed support for CFC’s anniversary celebrations by providing Petron eFuel cards. The Petron eFuel Card is a stored value or prepaid card that may be used to purchase merchandise or services from over 600 participating Petron establishments nationwide. Purchases through the card are accepted at Petron service stations, Petron Treats convenience stores, and Petron car care centers equipped with BPI point of sale terminals. The Petron eFuel Card is valid for five years from date of issue, and may be reloaded electronically. It is also fully transferable, but the value loaded cannot be converted to cash.

By partnering with the Couples for Christ, Petron is reaching out to the family-oriented market segment, and providing added convenience to their customers through worry-free, cashless transactions.
